People look for different qualities when hiring a Handyman or General Contractor for a job. Sometimes we look for the cheapest or just like the persons ad but there is so much more you need to look for. I highly recommend looking for someone that is fully licensed, bonded and insured. That way you are protected in case anything were to go wrong. I know we are tempted to hire the cheapest person even though they do not have a license, bond or insurance but that rarely ends well. Then people like me who have all the correct items have to come in and fix what the other person messed up and it ends up costing the homeowner more than they were planning to spend. I believe in being as fair as possible and am very honest and will try to save people money wherever possible. I also would recommend getting some referrals and calling them before you make your decision. What do you look for when hiring someone?
